Baby it's cold outside

We have been getting some icy weather today. We woke up this morning to ice covered trees and cold temps. I stayed home today not wanting to risk the getting "trapped" in Jackson (Tennessee) with icy roads. We are expected to get more tonight.

Is it bad to say that I like this weather? (Disclaimer: as long as no one is getting injured) I say this now as we still have power and heat!!! I will let you all know when and if my thoughts change as night goes on. But today has been great! Eugene and I were WORTHLESS and spent some much needed, post duck hunting time together today.

I even made smores!! This was truly the highlight of the day!

I found this picture of an ice storm in Switzerland in 2007. How crazy is this? At least this isn't the degree of ice we have! :)

We Are Family

With the big countdown to our skiing trip closing in, I went to Mississippi to visit the fam this past weekend. I couldn't imagine going another month or so without seeing this beautiful girl! Ava is growing up so fast. She is so HILARIOUS and sweet as sugar. It's amazing how much more her personality develops from one visit to the next.

She got this precious chair from Santa. She loves to sit in it and watch Barney.

Sunday we finally had warm temperatures and could go outside. THANK GOODNESS! I think we were all stir crazy. Ava played on her new swing set that she got for her birthday.

I thought this picture was so pretty. I was chasing her in the backyard and she was just laughing and laughing! Man I love this kid!

J-E-N-G-A ,J-E-N-G-A, J-E-N-G-A

I had a meeting in Nasvhille on Monday and Tuesday of last week. We (my co-workers and myself) always have so much fun when we get together. After a long afternoon of meetings on Monday we all enjoyed a YUMMY dinner at PF Changs. Then a few of us went to have a drink at a bar near the hotel. While we were there we remembered that in the lobby of the Aloft (where we were staying... really cool place) there were games. So... Jenga it was.
